BLUEGRASS MOTORSPORTS, BAD MOON RACING ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP
HICKORY, NC -- In a surprise move at the Bluegrass Motorsports shops today, Awesome Bill Elliott Fantasy Racing League mainstay BGM and ABEFRL newcomer Bad
Moon Racing announced that they have reached a cooperative agreement that will significantly strengthen both organizations' efforts in the ABEFRL next
season.
While maintaining separate operations and identities, the two companies will collaborate closely in areas key to competing for championships in the top-rated,
extremely competitive ABEFRL.
BGM's engine department and BMR's McIntosh & Seymour Race Technologies subsidiary will operate on a basis similar to NASCAR's Roush-Yates
arrangement. Each team will retain its own facility, pooling engineering and engine building expertise and personnel to maximize the power, performance and
reliability of the Dodge powerplants BGM-M&S will supply to each team. BGM, which recently began running Dodges in preparation for next season, will bring
its resources, added production capacity and its exclusive Mopar backing. M&S, longtime Mopar supplier to BMR and other teams in various series, will
bring its extensive experience and history of creative and effective innovation with Dodge engines.
BGM will supply Dodge Challenger chassis to all BGM and BMR teams to start, but plans for the partnership include BMR gradually contributing to developing and
supplying chassis as well. BMR, which has been running Chargers for 2009, will switch to Challengers for 2010.
The first fruits of this exciting new partnership will debut this weekend at Talledega, where Bad Moon Racing's Wauregan will pilot the No. 22 Mopar Dodge
Challenger in the Amp Energy 500, featuring a chassis built by BGM and a Dodge Hemi (tm) engine supplied by M&S.
The combination of strengths and talents made possible by this new alliance, coming just as BGM ramps up its factory-backed effort for Dodge and BMR joins the
ever more competitive ABEFRL, will yield stronger successes faster than either team alone might have achieved. Bluegrass Motorsports and Bad Moon Racing look
forward with excitement to a successful and rewarding 2010 season, together.

We are extremely proud of the deal we have worked out with Wauregan and the whole Bad Moon Racing organization, as well as MacIntosh & Seymour Race Technologies and the BMR chassis shop. This cooperative effort will produce far better results than we have achieved in the past or even in this successful season. We are also excited to welcome Wauregan, BMR and M&S into the Dodge Challenger fold for the 2010 season. I think the package we have worked out with Dodge and their new Challenger model looks very promising. The talent and experience that Wauregan brings from other series will also be a huge asset to myself and my three BGM teammates. We hope and plan that we can treat him as a teammate and he will do the same with us. We look forward to making our engines and chassis the best in the ABEFRL with all the help from BMR and M&S, and plan to be a force in those categories next season. I also need to thank Mopar for their help with the #22 program at Talladega, and RI9 and the MDM paint shop for their hard work in creating that sharp-looking scheme. In conclusion, I think "watch out" sums it up nicely.

That Mopar scheme is a nice one. I liked it enough to use it as the base for my all-star car this year, only it was a little less Dodge-y and there was more
gold chrome.

I can't say how proud I am of the work all our Bad Moon folks and BT6 and the rest of the BGM bunch put into this deal.
It came totally out of the blue when BGM approached us with this idea, and I don't mind telling you it took some thought and discussion around here. This is an independent-minded operation we've got at BMR, and proud of it; we've worked hard to get where we are. We wouldn't have gone ahead with this partnership if we felt that we'd only be taking from this deal and not making a contribution, too. In the end, we know Mopar, BGM knows the ABEFRL, both of our organizations are just full of talented people committed to winning races. It's a terrific opportunity, to work with the kind of talent BGM has in its shop, crews and driving their cars. Just a phenomenal group. I can't wait to get in that new Mopar Challenger this week. BGM built a beautiful car and MDM came through again with a spectacular paint job. And it has the sweetest Dodge Hemi you ever heard. We can't wait to see what it does at Talledega, how it handles in the draft, how it sucks up and how that M&S Mopar power pulls, even with a plate on it. We're still learning up here, so this race is important to us for the finish this weekend, but also to see what kind of package we've cooked up for Daytona and Talledega next year. By the way, that's what I meant a while back about that we'd run "the big plate race," even without a sponsor, that we'd run this race. One of our office interns overheard half of the discussion and went running to the press and said that we had no sponsor for Daytona. We didn't fire him, but believe me, the rest rooms in the shop garage have never been so spotless. One last thing: this is gonna be fun! |

I am excited about the opportunity to work with Wauregan and BMR next season as well as the return to Dodge. I started out with Dodge in this league when I was
running my own deal and hope we have as much success this go around as we did last time. The Challengers look great and I can't wait to get in one of them
and run a few test laps to see how it handles.
